Garth Marenghi's Fantastic Music

In case you didn't know "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" was an extremely funny spoof on channel4.
"This spoof TV series is an unearthed 80's horror TV show, complete with poor production values, awful dialogue and hilarious violence." (More from IMDB)
There were only 6 episodes produced and it's about to come out on a DVD soon.

The music in the show is nothing but amazing. Staying true to the low production values, it features horrible drum machines, fat and out of tune FM synths and a PCM sax that sounds like a joke. Oh and it's badly quantized too ;)
All were skillfully written by composer Andrew Hewitt, who got a BAFTA Nomination as Best New Composer for Film and TV — 2004.

You can listen to the theme tune here, and the attached YouTube video is the only song performed on the show which gives you a taster of everything I mentioned above.
Note the "authentic" guitar solo and the bass track played on something that sounds like an FM tuba. Hilarious!

I agree, the GM music was superbly done...
